Right now it feels like everyone is jetting off to some exotic location for some fun in the sun and quality time with family. I’m pouring over friends photos of Bali, Fiji and every other sun soaked destination popping up in my news feed. We are hoping to squeeze in a few days of sunshine (I’m thinking Cairns, Darwin or Hamilton Island) very soon! Here is my packing hit list for boys – promise I’ll do one for girls next:

1) Okay I’m officially obsessed with this Shark Fedora from Seed Heritage – do you think they come in adult sizes? It won’t be hard to get my 2 year old to wear this hat, he loves it as much as I do! I don’t know what it is, but I can’t go past a chubby cheeked toddler in a cute hat. It’s $29.95 and you can get one HERE

2) Ask any mum of boys and she’ll tell you how hard it is to find cute boys swim rash vests. When I came across this super cute snorkelling tiger one at Target I couldn’t resist! At $12 I doubt you’ll be able to resist either – get it HERE

3) Again with the shark theme… These poncho style towels are awesome for kids – there’s no trying to hold the towel up or whinging they’re cold, just pop over their head and they’re all covered. This one is at Target, take a look HERE

4) A good pair of boardies is a must. These awesome ones are from Country Road and the drawstring at the top means your little one won’t spend the day hiking up his pants. They are $39.95 and available HERE

5) I found these kiddies Raybans in Hawaii and have been crushing on them ever since. If you can get your kids into the habit of wearing sunnies early then you’re onto a good thing. What kid doesn’t want to look cool by the pool in these ones from Rayban. Customise some for you little man HERE

6) I’m yet to get my kids to wear flip flops for more than 10 seconds in a row but that doesn’t stop me trying! How adorable are these little Havaianas whale ones? They are $25.99 from Citybeach, take a look HERE

7) These travel themed sand moulds are such a good find for travel lovin families. You can get the Taj Mahal, Colleseum, Pyramids and even the Parthenon!! Hours of fun to be had making landmarks from around the world. Get yours from Lime Tree Kids HERE

8) I don’t know what it is, but I just love seeing the little men in my life in polo shirts. You can dress them up for a swish dinner out or pair them with some boardies for a more casual look. My littlest man is wearing a gorgeous one available from Lycorne Kids HERE

What are your essentials when packing for the kids? Feel free to steer me in the right direction for little girls too!
